If most of your customers are located in a region that uses the Imperial Unit System (inches, pounds, etc.), you may want to set your size chart measurements to display in inches by default.
Here's how to to consistently display the Default Unit System in your size charts:
- Go to "Styles & Settings."
- From this page, go to "Size Chart."
- Select "Table" and then scroll down to the"Table Unit Settings."
- Select Imperial unit system as the "Default unit system."
- Save your changes. Now, your size charts will be set to display in inches by default.
Why Your Size Charts May Still Show Metric Units
If you notice that your size charts display cm instead of inches, even after setting the Imperial Unit System as the default, it’s likely due to the "Auto Select Unit Based on Buyer Location" feature.
When this feature is enabled, Kiwi will automatically adjust the unit system based on the customer’s location. For example, if you’re checking your site from a region that uses the Metric system, the size chart will show cm instead of inches, despite your default settings.
How to Ensure Consistent Display of the Default Unit System
To make sure your size charts always display the Imperial Unit System (or your preferred units) no matter where your customer is located, simply disable the "Auto Select Unit Based on Buyer Location" option. This setting can be found just below the Default Unit System option.
Switching to Metric Units by Default
If you prefer to show measurements in cm (the Metric system), follow the same steps but set the Metric Unit System as the default and turn off "Auto Select Unit Based on Buyer Location."
