What is Simple Generic Table Apparel Recommender?
The Simple Generic Table Apparel Recommender allows users to input body measurements, and based on this data, the app makes size recommendations. The user can then see how each size fits.
Creating a Simple Generic Table Apparel Recommender
Follow these steps to create one:
- Open the size chart you want to add the recommender to.
- From the left side, scroll down to the bottom and click "Start setting up recommender." This will open the recommender options.
-
The recommender editor pop-up will appear. Follow the steps below to set up your recommender.
Steps to Set Up the Simple Recommender
- Select your source table if you have multiple ones.
-
Change the name of the recommender. This name will be displayed as the header for the size recommender.
-
Go to the "Fields setup" tab. Here you will see different body measurements, such as chest, waist, and hip. Click on the circular text to select the measurements you want to use. Green means the measurement is highlighted and selected.
-
Once fields are selected, you can adjust the following settings:
- Input Type: Choose between number input, dropdown, or radio button. Non-number inputs will be used as simple filters.
- Type: Select whether the measurement type is for cover (e.g., waist, hip) or length (e.g., sleeve length, shirt length). This will change how the fit is displayed.
- Stretch Factor: Set the product's stretch factor. A body measurement exceeding the product’s maximum stretch will be rejected. The default is 10%.
- Recommend Logic: By default, leave this unchanged. Selecting "Only within size range" will filter out sizes outside the customer’s input range.
- Intended Body or Product Measurements: Choose product measurements for garment easing, which subtracts space for comfort/style from the product measurements when compared with the customer’s input.
- Filter Oversized: Check this box if you want to exclude sizes that are too big (more than three sizes larger than the customer's input). The default is unchecked.
- Only Use as Filter: Check this box if you only want to filter out sizes that are too tight without contributing to the overall fit score.
-
If everything is set up correctly, you’ll see a preview of the recommender on the right side of the screen.
Do I Need a Size Table for This?
Yes. The Simple Generic Table Recommender is automatically generated based on a sizing table. Ensure the table has no empty fields and that the units are set properly.
How Does the Size Recommender Memorize User Measurements?
The app stores each user’s measurements by field name. For example, if a user enters 8 for "Chest," the app will remember this and apply it to any future recommender using the same field name. Be careful with typos, as they can cause errors.
